In my opinion, this activity shows grammar rules in a attractive visual way. The crossword is very useful to practice with these rules. I´ll do this activity and I´ll put this picture on my class. Thanks Meritxell.
Hello Meritxell, I like this activity because of the way of explaining the plural rules. First, it's very clear and attractive. Even it could be a very useful poster to hang in the class for looking up during the school year. Also it is easy to see the content at a glance. Instead of the common explanation in a text about the "plural noun rules" which can be boring, this picture is very motivating for students. The exercise of the crossword is nice to do for students because they see it like a game, so, they learn and practise without noticing it. Very interesting and useful your activity. Good job.
This is an interactive and fun way to learn the plural noun rules. You can print the image and paste it as a poster in class and from this, practice with new words. It lefts freedom to the teacher to focus the activity as he likes with the visual support. In this way, you can work the different oral or written skills. For students, the crossword is a playful and fun way to practice and test learning.
Hi Meritxell, Congratulations for this post! I believe you have done a good job creating this post about Plural Nouns Rules, as children really don´t like practicing and learning grammar rules in a second language. Fortunatelly, you have ,made a funny and attractive activity which motivates young learners to understand this hard part of the english language. Besides, they can play a game as a crossword in order to consolidate the rules you have presented them before. As Rosana said before, they don´t notice they are learning rules because they are having fun. So, for me this is the way for learning this amusing language. A pleasure...... Anna
Hello Meritxell! As my colleagues say you teach activities seem very interesting. A fun way to teach the plural rules will be the way to follow to achieve this objective. You can use the same character, the monkey, as guiding thread to explain other gramatical rules.
